A Comprehensive, Personalized Approach

How can I achieve a smoother, more radiant complexion with dermaplaning?

What if you could gently scrape off the outer layer of your skin where dirt, oil, debris, makeup and dead skill cells were clouding a healthy complexion? Dermaplaning is a revolutionary method of exfoliating the skin to reveal a more youthful, radiant and attractive appearance. Dermaplaning can be well combined with chemical peels for the ultimate facial rejuvenation package.

How is dermaplaning performed?

During the procedure, a finely sharpened scalpel is moved along your face at a 45-degree angle, exfoliating the skin painlessly. Peach fuzz, dead skin cells and debris are gently scraped away. There is no redness or discomfort to deal with.

How often can I undergo dermaplaning?

Every 3 to 4 weeks you can schedule an appointment for dermaplaning in Columbia MD to see continued improvement in your skin. The procedure will wipe away 2 to 3 weeks’ worth of dead skill cells at a time.

“After shopping around at other locations, I found Comprehensive Laser had the best pricing, so I booked an appointment. I had a great experience, not long wait times, and I love that I was seen by an actual nurse. Made me feel confident in the care that I received and the results are amazing!”

Who is the best candidate for the revolutionary process of dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning in Baltimore is appropriate for all skin types; however, if you suffer from active acne lesions, there may be a better treatment for you.

Dermaplaning is one of the few treatments you can undergo if you are pregnant, as there is no risk of toxic chemicals being absorbed by the skin. As with any procedure, the final decision will be determined with your practitioner during your confidential Columbia, MD consultation.

  • What is the dermaplaning recovery like?

Dermaplaning has no downtime, so you can enjoy your beautiful results immediately. Once your skin has undergone dermaplaning, it will be more susceptible to healing serums, masks, creams and lotions, which will now provide you with superior skincare results. Your makeup will simply glide onto the skin, and look wonderful. We can help you to choose the best skincare products for your needs as part of your aftercare package.

  • How much does dermaplaning cost?

The average cost for dermaplaning is around $150, but this will depend on the facility fees and the practitioner’s fees. You’ll receive a full, detailed quote at the time of your Columbia, MD consultation that is based on a thorough physical evaluation of your skin.

What We're Doing About COVID-19

At Comprehensive Laser, your health, safety and happiness are our top priorities. We have been monitoring the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation very carefully. We will be partially reopening the office beginning Monday, May 11th. We will continue to follow updates from local, state and federal authorities and if we receive different guidance we will respond appropriately and notify you immediately.

We have taken a series of precautionary steps to ensure your safety:

  1. We are performing enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of all patient care areas on a regular basis and in between all patient visits.
  2. We will avoid having patients congregate in our reception area. Upon check-in, you will be shown to either a private exam room or consultation room depending upon the nature of your appointment.
  3. All members of our staff are screened daily for COVID symptoms and are asked to stay home if they exhibit any signs or symptoms of the disease.
  4. We screen all patients entering our facility with COVID symptom screening questionnaires.
  5. ALL of our providers wear surgical face masks, plastic face shields and the necessary personal protective equipment to ensure patient and provider safety.
  6. We use hospital-grade disinfectants (Cavi-Wipes, Cavicide) to clean patient rooms and equipment. CaviCide is a convenient, ready-to-use, intermediate-level surface disinfectant that is effective against TB, HBV, HCV, viruses (hydrophilic and lipophilic), bacteria (including MRSA and VRE) and fungi. It can be used in the NICU, operating rooms, isolation rooms, patient care areas and laboratories. When used as directed, it will also effectively clean and decontaminate critical and semi-critical instrumentation.
  7. All of our equipment and protective eyewear are cleaned after every use.
  8. Plexiglass shields will be in place at the check-in and check out areas to prevent aerosol transmission.
  9. We offer "No touch" payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and online invoicing.

For the time being, we ask that you come to your appointments alone to limit the traffic through the office. We also ask that you leave children in the care of a family member or a sitter. If you have had a recent fever, sore throat, cold- or flu-like symptoms or contact with someone suspected of having COVID-19 please call immediately to reschedule your appointment.

As always we appreciate your support of and trust in our practice and we look forward to seeing you soon!
